December TCG Drops: The Gift-Box Month
TCG Drop Radar · Week of Nov 2, 2026
The December TCG drops are mostly gift boxes, not new chase sets. On December 4, Pokémon’s 30th Celebration Binder Collection, Riftbound’s $109 Gift of the Rift Bundle and Yu-Gi-Oh!’s Glorious Victors booster all reach stores. On December 18, One Piece adds two $16.99 starter decks, ST-37 and ST-38. Glorious Victors is the only new booster set in the group. The Pokémon and Riftbound boxes repackage packs from sets already out, so judge them by what’s exclusive inside: Riftbound includes an English-only alt-art Akali promo, while Pokémon’s listing names no promo card at all.
Last week’s radar covered the November TCG drops: Delta Reign and the Star Trek prerelease on November 6, then One Piece OP-18 and Star Wars: Unlimited Icons on November 20. This edition picks up after that. It covers the holiday products, Riftbound’s drawing-only bundles and the first sets of 2027. Every date comes from the publisher’s own page unless we flag it. For the full release calendar, start at the Upcoming Drops hub.

December 4: three boxes, one new set

Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Binder Collection
Pokémon’s product gallery page lists a December 4 launch at Pokémon Center and other retailers. The box holds a 9-pocket binder with a 30th-anniversary design and 5 booster packs from the 30th Celebration expansion. Pokémon’s listing names no promo card and no price.
Why it matters: You’re buying the same 30th Celebration packs already on shelves, plus a binder. Buy it if you’d use the binder. If you only want packs, compare the cost per pack with other 30th Celebration products at your store. Our Pokémon sealed liquidity guide explains why reprinted boxes rarely hold a premium.

Riftbound Gift of the Rift Bundle
Riot’s 2026 drawings announcement lists it at $109, sold through local game stores and other retailers from December 4. No drawing is needed. It contains 16 booster packs: 3 each of Origins, Spiritforged, Unleashed and Vendetta, plus 4 of Radiance. It also has 36 foil runes, an alt-art Rogue Assassin (Akali) Legend promo, a pack of Akali sleeves and a 2,000-card storage box. The Akali promo is exclusive to the English version. The Chinese version has a Kennen promo instead.
Why it matters: $109 for 16 packs works out to about $6.81 a pack before you count the runes, sleeves, box and promo. That figure is our arithmetic from Riot’s price. The English-only Akali is the one card you can’t open anywhere else, so price the bundle as packs plus that promo, not as a sealed investment.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Glorious Victors
Konami’s Glorious Victors page lists December 2 at Official Tournament Stores, with general launch and tournament legality on December 4. MSRP is $4.49 per pack. It’s a 60-card set: 3 Secret Rares, 10 Ultra Rares, 10 Super Rares and 37 Rares. Fifteen cards also come as Collector’s Rares and ten as Starlight Rares. Each 7-card pack has 1 foil and 6 Rares. The set introduces the Zenet, Raise Moon and Trirealm Rift strategies.
Why it matters: This is the only new booster set in the December 4 group. The Starlight Rares are the chase, but Konami’s page doesn’t publish pull rates. Don’t pay early-singles prices until the set has been out long enough for completed sales to show where demand is.

Riftbound’s drawing-only bundles

Riftbound x Worlds 2026 Edition and T1 Player Bundle
Per Riot’s drawings announcement, the Worlds 2026 Edition ($80, English) has an alt-art Unforgiven (Yasuo) Legend promo, 3 Battlefield promos showing Los Angeles, Allen and New York City, and Worlds-themed accessories, including foil sleeves. Online drawing orders also come with an in-game League of Legends capsule. The T1 2025 Worlds Champion Player Bundle ($70) has 5 Champion cards with T1 Worlds 2025 skin art, plus a deck box, binder, sleeves and a D12 die. Online drawing registration for both runs from 9:00 AM PT (11:00 AM CT) on November 13 to 9:00 AM PT (11:00 AM CT) on November 16. Riot emails the first selectees November 17, and winners get 24 hours to pay. Online orders start shipping in mid-December. Both bundles are also sold at Worlds events in Allen, Texas and New York City in November. The $150 K/DA Couture Collection drawing closed October 30, with first emails due November 3.
Why it matters: A drawing isn’t a store release. Winning gives you the chance to buy at Riot’s price, not a guaranteed profit. If you lose, wait for completed sales after mid-December shipping instead of paying early asks.

December 18: One Piece closes the year

One Piece ST-37 and ST-38 Starter Decks
Bandai’s English pages for ST-37 The Desert Princess and the Pirates (Red/Blue, Straw Hat Crew and the Kingdom of Alabasta) and ST-38 Baroque Works (Blue/Black) both list December 18, 2026 at $16.99. Each has a 51-card constructed deck, 10 DON!! cards, a 3-card bonus pack and a playsheet. Each deck has 1 Leader, 2 Super Rare and 14 Common card types. The cards become tournament legal 7 days after release.
Why it matters: These are the lowest-priced new products on this board, and the contents are fixed apart from the 3-card bonus pack. Bandai’s English page doesn’t list what that pack can contain. Buy these decks to play, and wait for the bonus-pack card list before treating them as a chase.

The 2027 openers
- January 22–28 / January 29 — Riftbound Legacy. Riot’s Products and Sets into 2027 lists 239 cards (93 Showcase). Starting with Legacy, one Common slot in each booster becomes a Legend or Battlefield slot, at roughly 50/50, so packs carry 6 Commons instead of 7. Riot says the first Legacy previews come at Convergence Fest in December. Its two announcements give different dates for the event (December 11–13 and December 13–15), so check before you plan around it.
- February 5 — Magic: Nauctis: The Sunken Realm. Wizards’ Nauctis product page lists February 5, 2027.
- February 5 / February 12 — Disney Lorcana Into the Inkdark. Ravensburger’s Into the Inkdark page lists prerelease February 5 and release February 12. It’s the first Lorcana set with Collector Boosters.
- February 5 (reported) — Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution—Flowing Fists. PokéBeach reports a February 5 release with prereleases January 23–31 and Mega Lucario Z ex headlining. As of November 2, Pokémon hasn’t announced it on pokemon.com, so we list it as Watch.
Before you buy a holiday box: a checklist
Bottom line
The December TCG drops are a gift-box month. December 4 brings Pokémon’s 30th Celebration Binder Collection, Riftbound’s $109 Gift of the Rift and Yu-Gi-Oh! Glorious Victors. Glorious Victors is the only new booster set of the three. December 18 brings two $16.99 One Piece starter decks. Riftbound’s Worlds bundles are a drawing (registration November 13–16), not a shelf release. Buy the December boxes for play, gifts or a specific promo. The next big set wave starts with Riftbound Legacy on January 29 and a crowded February 5.
